Beartooth Mountains Trail Update June 17

Posted on June 17, 2010

We just received a trail update for the Beartooth Mountains from the Beartooth Ranger District!

As of June 17, 2010, the snowline is at approximately 8,500 to 9,500 depending on exposure.  Most Plateaus have a lot of snow left on them, however some are partially melted out with large snow fields remaining.  The runoff has started, so stream crossings may have strong water flows.

-Wild Bill Lake NRT
-Basin Lakes NRT to lower lake
-Mount Maurice and Corral Creek to snowline
-Beartrack to Silver Run Plateau
